He is a very charitable person and he will stop at nothing to do the best for the less-privileged
Last Sunday, Femi Otedola was the chief launcher at the Catholic-owned Augustine University, Ilara Epe, Lagos, for their fund-raising ceremony. Femi was actually represented by one of his directors at Forte Oil. When his well-knitted speech was read to the audience, in absentia, he received a massive applause, laced with a standing ovation from other invited guests. He pledged to donate a well-equipped standard Faculty of Engineering building to the school which is estimated to be worth over half a billion naira. The first son of late former governor of Lagos State, Sir Michael Otedola, has been doing these for many institutions, and does not appear to stop doing so. Femi Otedola’s commitment to the educational sector is second to none, even as one of his daughters, Florence Otedola, known popularly as DJ Cuppy, is currently sponsoring selected youths for an all-expenses-paid university scholarship. This shows that philanthropy runs in the Otedola family, and this is another move in the Otedola family, about giving back to the society.
