This is definitely the best of times for versatile and industrious group head Corporate Affairs and Marketing Communications at First Bank Nigeria Plc,Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney.
The officious lady that has been taking First Bank to greater heights in recent time, once again proved her cynics wrong last week as she emerged the next President of the Association of Advertisers Association of Nigeria, ADVAN, at its AGM, held recently in Lagos. In the joyful excitement, Folake feels honoured by the association that deemed her fit to handle the position, and said she would bring in her wealth of experience to bear in running the organization, while building on the achievements of her predecessors. As a prelude, coming tops in her category is indeed a confirmation of Folake and her team at First Bank in the areas of projecting the bank positively and customer-drawing, through relentless and focus-driven strategies. When an individual is good and transparently diligent in whatever he or she does, it doesn't take time for industry watchers to begin raining encomium on him or her. Mrs. Ani-Mumuney, before her present position at First Bank, had served as Chief Marketing and Communication Officer at Dangote Industries Limited where she proved herself as a seasoned Marketer and Communicator. Earlier, she was responsible for Brands Policies and Communications at British Airways PLC, across the Europe & Africa region made up of 59 countries. She covered many regions in her time with British Airways, where she managed portfolios as Business Analyst, Strategy & Business Planning Manager, New Business Development Manager and Head marketing & Communications Manager Africa. She holds several management certificates and belongs to many professional bodies. She also has degrees in Philosophy and Law and a diploma in Business Computing Systems Analysis and Design.
