Even as the Labor union plans to embark on a nationwide strike on Wednesday, the Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria AMPON has dissociated itself from it.
The fuel price hike to N145 from N86.50 has generated condemnation largely from the labour union spoiling for war. PENGASSAN and NUPENG unions are in support of fuel price increase.
The Chairman of AMPON (Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria), Wole Arisekola has urged all journalists, particularly online media practitioners to distance themselves from supporting the proposed nationwide strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress.
He hinged his stand in view of the situation surrounding FG's resolution and demanding that nationwide strikes won't solve the problem on ground.
