Gov. Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State is one governor who does not make much noise but prefers his good works in the state to speak for him.
With giant projects visibly all over Nasarawa State, it is easy to see and identify with the dogged determination of the businessman turned politician to rewrite the story of his state. It was therefore no wonder that the success story of Gov. Al-Makura is being seen and applauded by the people of his state, his colleagues and even the international world.
As part of their efforts to have a bilateral relationship with Nasarawa and have a structure in the state, the Taiwan Trade Mission in Nigeria through the Ambassador, Mr. Morgan Chao has extended the arms of fellowship to Governor Al-Makura through a dinner slated for the first week of December.
According to Deo Agoz Corporate Services Ltd, the business consultants to the Taiwan Trade Mission in Nigeria the Taiwan Trade Mission in Nigeria has the mission to work towards building a great alliance between Nasarawa state and Taiwan as a nation in order to open the door for educational, economic and professional exchanges between their country and the state. The interest of Taiwan in Nasarawa is due largely to the advancement of the state governor in areas like agriculture, education, youth empowerment and so on.
The Ambassador to Taiwan sees Nasarawa state as a fertile ground for developmental projects to make it a model city in Nigeria.
Ms Adeola Agoro, the Chief Executive Officer of ‘Deo Agoz Corporate Services Ltd said “we look forward to the limitless possibilities of this relationship between Nasarawa State and Taiwan. We envision a growing awareness and appreciation of each other’s culture and people. We hope through this the dinner would help achieve that.”
The idea of the dinner between Nasarawa state and Taiwan was borne after a careful review of all present and past achievements of Al-Makura and his dogged determination at putting his our state in the forefront as a leader in terms of economic growth.
Gov. Tanko Al-Makura has agreed to have the dinner with the Ambassador and he looks forward to having a business relationship with Taiwan to achieve a more vibrant economy.
